Our human nature exhibits a primal tendency for negative feelings, impeding our ability to counteract harmful sentiments, since they have been rooted in ourselves since the beginning and historically they served as a mechanism of survival. The way I see our world today differs from that of old, and hence, I know I must exercise a tighter control even as difficult as it might be. Ultimately, the allure of rage and other detrimental feelings is fleeting and deceptive. While they might provide momentary release, they exercise a heavy toll on our psychological well-being. They shroud our clarity of thought, blur our judgment, and foster discord in our relationships. Consciously choosing to unburden ourselves from the weight of these emotions becomes an act of self-preservation and self-respect.
I think the path for self-betterment is constant, timeless, and at sometimes unending. But certainly, it will equip us with the necessary tools in order to build a more harmonious existence that will directly impact the way we are and feel as well as our relationships with others. It is can be challenging, nevertheless not impossible.
